It’s here, and only a few days late. I took my photos on Friday, but unfortunately a family emergency came up, and I didn’t have the time to post them. It’s made worse by the fact that all of my family is on the other side of the planet, and I can’t be there for them during some truly awful times.
However, when all of this is happening, 5:2 is still easy enough to follow, you don’t need to do or buy anything special, just don’t eat for two days. Even with all the bad things going on, I can do it. So let’s check out this week’s photos.

I was originally going to have roasted zucchini, pepper, and mushrooms for supper but when I got home from work the fridge fairies had taken off with some of my key ingredients (ie. The Boy had already made his own supper using them up). It is tough enough on a fast day without having to figure out what you’re going to have for supper! Luckily I pulled through, improvised and had this on the table in under twenty minutes.
On a side note, I think I need to get a little more inventive with my recipe names… and work on making my meals look a little more appealing too.

As of this morning, my blog has been viewed one thousand times! Not bad for something that has been going for less than a month.
The reasons I started this blog were to track my progress, and to put myself out there so I could be held accountable, and it’s working very well. To know that I have a bunch of friends and curious people out there checking in to see how I’m doing is just so great!
I’m beginning to hope that this blog may also become an inspiration or information source to people who are hoping to lose some weight. I know that there are far more inspiring people out there who are doing far more inspiring things, even in the realm of weight loss, but I like the though that maybe, in my own small way, I could be helping out a person or two through this.
